THE JOURNEY OF X-51

ABOUT X-51:

Two HD cameras were sent into near space to capture stunning images at 93,000 feet above sea level.  Custom GPS radio units were used to retrieve the payload in NE Indiana where it landed after traversing over a hundred miles in less than three hours.  The parachute deployed correctly, saving all on-board instruments and minimizing damage to the craft’s frame.  Hooray for science!
